Hi, All
We designed a customer board based on imx6q SabreAI board, and use SD3 as eMMC boot.
Now, it can download firmware with MFG Tool, however, it cannot boot up, because the board is always in download mode ( MFGTool always display " HID-compliance device".)
Maybe there are some mistakes when partitionion or MBR in the 1st 1kb of eMMC, but i'm not sure.
Could some one give some suggestion to help me to go forward.
below is the log of download using mfg tool.

Solved! Go to Solution.
Thx Raymond and chipexpert, this issue is fixed now with changing initramfs.cpio.gz.uboot in MFGTool.
initramfs.cpio.gz.uboot is a binary file, i'm not sure what happen exactly, but i guess it should be releated with MBR in the 1st 1KB in eMMC.
(before i send the post, the boot config is already set correctly).
Thx a lot for both of your help. ^ ^

Dear jianhua Xu and all
I change mfgtool(try different version) and initramfs.cpio.gz.uboot, but always into download mode, have your any suggest? thanks
Hello,
the following Community thread may be useful :

Regards,
Yuri.
Hi,
We are also facing similar issue. can you please share the latest initramfs.cpio.gz.uboot file in MFG tool.
What are the changes that are done to the new initramfs.cpio.gz.uboot?
Thanks and Regards,
-Devaraj
Hi devarajgs
Actually, the root cause is not found. what i do is just to try to use two different version of tools, and found it can solve the problem. so i think it might be releated with that bin file.
Maybe you can also try this way. "Mfgtools-Rel-4.1.0_130816_MX6Q_UPDATER" and "Mfgtools-Rel-13.01.00_ER_MX6Q_UPDATER", they can be downloaded from website. if one is not ok, try another one, ..., use them interactively.
Anyway, i'm not sure it is help for you, but you can try ^^
Dear Jianhua
Can you send me the Mfgtools-Rel-13.01.00_ER_MX6Q_UPDATER soft, I can not downloard it now. My mail is: dreaminghell@163.com. Thanks!
Hi jianhua,
you should close MFG Tool, disconnect USB, power off board.
For booting from eMMC please set correct boot pins, then power-up board,
then provide log from terminal.
Best regards
chip
It seems mfg progress okay!
Did you ever check your EIM boot option config ? Even you flash eMMC device properly, wrong config may cause boot failed ,then enter download mode once again.
