Hi,

first of all I would like to introduce myself as it is my first post here.

My name is Andrzej and we are slowly starting new project in Poland.

I would like to make sure about one detail regarding QSB:

Is there any chance to connect through the expansion port a CMOS sensor that requires 10 data wires (10bit)?

My idea was to build daughterboard that would contain camera module connected to CSI0 data, v&h sync, reset, clock lines (pins) and I2S1 or I2S2 port. But according to the "Hardware User Guide for i.MX53 Quick Start Board, Preliminary Rev 0.9" table 27 "Expansion Port Pin-Mux Table (con)" there are only 8 pins for CSI0 data available (that would be CSI0_DAT12 : CSI0_DAT19).

Is there any way to use other pins for CSI0_DAT10 and CSI0_DAT11?

I will appreciate any opinion from you!

best regards
Andrzej

Hello, Andrzej!

Unfortunally QSB have only 8 CSI0 lines on expand slot, you can examine this http://cache.freescale.com/files/32bit/doc/ref_manual/IMX53RQSBRM-R.pdf?fpsp=1&WT_TYPE=Reference%20M...

Technically there are a lot of empty pins on the expansion header, you can jumper the UART1 TX and RX line (logic level) and change the debug port to UARTn.
