Hello,
We ware reading i.mx_android extended_codec_release_node and android_release_note.
My customer hope to know a feeling of License Restricted codecs for Android M6.0.1_2.1.0.
Does it have some sample limited codecs it have some function limitations?
or nothing it in default Android BSP?
If it have some limited sample, which limitation does it have?
If no sample in it, is this address "L2manager-android@freescale.com" is correct?
Because it has a "freescale" domain.
Best regards,
Ishii.
Hello Takayuki Ishii,
The L2manager-android@freescale.com e-mail is correct and still in use. However, starting with the Android Marshmallow BSP releases the Extneded Package is included as part of the BSP so please check the codecs available on this BSP.
Some codecs come as part of the OMX Player in Android and are part of the Android license. For further codecs or licenses listed on the Release Notes but not included on the BSP you would need to contact that e-mail or your Sales Representative if you have one for the codec and licensing information.
Regards,
