Hi,
I am looking for a chip which has multiple cores and each core can work at different voltages and frequencies. It seems the iMX6 SoloX and/or iMX7 can satisfy my requirement. Is it true that I can use different DVFS strategies for the A9 core and M4 core, and adjust their frequencies separately? Also, for the A9 core or M4 core, can I just adjust the core frequency but keep the voltage constant? I have worked on other embedded chip, but each time I change frequency, the voltage also changes. I want to make sure that for this chip, I can adjust the voltage and frequency independently.
Thanks.
Hi Yue
M4 frequency does not depend on voltage, A7/9 depends as described in
processor Datasheets Table Operating ranges

Frequency can be set using Chapter 23 CPU Frequency Scaling (CPUFREQ) Driver
attached Linux Manual.
Best regards
igor
