Reg: Driver updation

Hi,

          I have a doubt. When we select driver from LTIB and compile it changes the uImage or updations are made in rootfs??

Suppose i selected Package list-->Freescale Multimedia plugins/codes -->gst-fsl-plugins and complied the ltib.

After image is completly built should i update uImage or rootfs in my sdcard???

plz advice...

Hi Vishvapathi Karnan,

     After ltib completes building, /home/user/ltib/rootfs will be updated. Copy this rootfs with super user permissions to the sdcard.

I had this doubt becoz i am using Marsboard, and uImage is created by using separate set of files, not LTIB.

so i can update only the rootfs, no need to update uImage/uboot right?

Hi,

     As you are building gst-fsl-plugins package through ltib, rootfs will be updated automatically. So you can use that rootfs with your existing uImage and uBoot.
