RT1020 EVK CAN Transceiver

I am planning to use the CAN Transceiver on the RT1020 EVK board. In reviewing the Schematic for the board (as found under 'Design Files' at https://www.nxp.com/design/development-boards/i-mx-evaluation-and-development-boards/i-mx-rt1020-eva...), I also looked up the datasheet for the CAN Transceiver chip (TJA1057GT). I noticed that the implementation on the EVK board does not match the example circuit shown in the TJA1057GT datasheet. I would like to know more about the EVK implementation. Are there engineering notes anywhere for this circuit? I specifically see a number of DNI components and I would like to know the reason for them being DNI and why one might install those components or not.

The circuit of the CAN Transceiver on the RT1020 EVK board is for evaluation only, not a finished product. Please refer to the application diagram of the datasheet of TJA1057GT for your design.
