Dear team,
I would like to ask about a workaround of ARM errata #782773(mentioned as ERR005386 of i.MX6DL errata).
My customer is trying to implement the workaround for the ARM errata#782773 into their software.
Their software is based on your LinuxBSP(L3.0.35_3.0.0-rc4), and they think the workaround is not implemented in your original LinuxBSP.
Is it true?
Thanks,
Miyamoto
Hi Miyamoto
yes, true. It was discussed previously internally with below summary:
After looking at the thread below:
http://lists.infradead.org/pipermail/linux-arm-kernel/2012-September/123101.html
ARM thinks this should not errata will not occur in Linux, apart from a remote possibility of failure during boot.
BSP team do not see any other references to this errata in Linux code base.
Customer can add the workaround if they feel they are updating page tables
Best regards
igor
