Hi NXP Comrades,

I was testing audio on my development device with Voice Hat planted on it.
It was a malfunction in playing audio from Cactus Player or any third-party player like MX Player.

The audio which was recorded on the device was playing well of file format .ogg
On the same time when I tried to play .mp3 or .ogg audio file downloaded from the web, the system reboots and cannot play.

The dev board is not able to play any audio format via Cactus Player / Default Audio Player or any 3rd party music player application else it reboots.

Our test environment:
Software image
ftp://ftp.technexion.net/demo_software/pico-imx8mq/pico-imx8m_pico-pi-imx8m_android-9.0.0-2.0.0_uuu_QCA9377_mipi-dsi-ili9881c-1280x720_voice-hat_20190702.zip

Hardware platform:
CPU Board
PICO-iMX8MQ, 4G RAM, 16G eMMC
Base Board
PICO-PI-8M
Display
MIPI-LCD 1280x720

Voice Hat attached to it for Audio I/O

Play audio:
Scars to your beautiful - Alessia Cara.mp3
Result:
The device reboots without any traces or reason in logcat.
Note: The reboot never occurs after fresh installation audio works fine but with time and again testing it reboots even on playing the same audio from system audio player.

I am attaching logs for your reference. Please help me to troubleshoot the issue.

Thanks & Regards,
Samad

Hello,

Unfortunately, the i.MX8MQ Pico-Pi is not supported by us. I suggest you go with TechNexion. They could help you with your problem. I apologize for the inconveniences this may give you.

Best regards,

Diego.
