Please explain the function of the 1K parallel resistor (R101) on page 4 of sch-29090.  I understand the function of the schottkey diodes.  Also, please explain the note regarding coin cell discharge current.

We are designing a board using a i.MX 6UltraLite and the PF3001 PMIC.  Is sch-29090 Rev D the best reference?

Hello Rene DeBacker,

The parallel resistor works with the schottkey diode to mare sure that current does not reverse to the battery. The discharge current requirement comes precisely because it’s the current required to allow the current to pass through the diode.

The revision you have of the schematic is the most current and it’s the correct reference design to use for the i.MX6UL and PF3001.

I hope this helps!

Regards,
