In case of the i.MX RT1050 EVK, all the supply options (J2, J9 or J28) are 5V inputs. However, the device itself could be powered with single 3.3V using the internal DC-DC (if not using USB). For additional details, you could refer to application note AN12051 “Migration Guide from i.MX6UL to i.MXRT”, especially on section 3.1 “Power Supply”.
