Hello,
Does the schematic for the evaluation board RT1170 includes only the connection for the LCD screen without the touch panel?
Looking at data sheet for the default LCD used shows 6 pins FCP connector for the CTP.
Thanks,
Tarek
Here is a datasheet for RK055HDMIPI4M :

Hi @b36401
I have checked the Data sheet and the LCD does include a touch panel; however the schematic here does not include the connection for the touch panel but only the 40 pins for the LCD display.
My first assumption was that I2C5_SDA, I2C5_SCLand CTP_INT are the connection for the touch panel, but I think they are used for “Extended Display Identification Data”
Please correct me if I am wrong.
Thanks,
Tarek
Hi @TM_MI ,
Your instinct is right, the CTP_SDA and CTP_SCL are used to fetch the touch position of LCD.

Jeremy
Hello @jeremyzhou
Thank you.
To clarify things, The CTP pins 1-6 shown on the datasheet are used for the touch panel and the FPC pins 26-29 are also used for the touch panel, but the CTP 1-6 pins are connected internally to 26-29.
So, another connection other than the FPC 40 (Pins 26-29) is not needed to connect to the touch panel.
Regards,
Tarek
