JTAG on i.MX 8M mini evk

I have attached a J-Link debugger to the imx 8 mini evaluation kit and I am trying to get it working with openocd, but openocd keeps on stating "gdb port disabled" and "DAP transaction stalled (WAIT)", is there any specific guide available to work with the JTAG debugger?

Here do what do you want to use the JTAG debug? If you are using the A core you do not use it , just use the uart port on the board.
