Imx8 Mini with MX8 DSI OLED

Hi

I have a *MX8 DSI OLED1* display which I want to use with IMX8 Mini. I've started the board with the default os on MMC and loaded the rm67191 dtb from uboot, lcd is showing the image but there is a strange issue with it displaying two colors on the screen as can be seen in the attached image. This is also the case for a custom OS built using Yocto. How can I solve this issue?

The front labelling of the OLED1 and OLED1A panel looks similar. You may want to verify the back of the panel and check if it has a MX8-DSI-OLED1A like this:

If you see the label as MX8-DSI-OLED1A, pls use imx8mm-evk-rm67199.dtb.

The initialization sequence for RM67191 and RM67199 are very different and this issue is likely due to an incorrect dtb file.

Could you confirm that you are using the dtb for your board and your display?

• imx8mm-evk-rm67191.dtb: RM67191 MX8-DSI-OLED1 panel.
• imx8mm-evk-rm67199.dtb: RM67199 MX8-DSI-OLED1A panel.
• imx8mm-ddr4-evk-rm67191.dtb: DDR4 EVK with RM67191 MX8-DSI-OLED1 panel.
• imx8mn-ddr4-evk-rm67191.dtb: DDR4 EVK with RM67191 MX8-DSI-OLED1 panel.
• imx8mm-ddr4-evk-rm67199.dtb: DDR4 EVK with RM67199 MX8-DSI-OLED1A panel.

Do you have by any chance other display and or board?

Yes I'm using Imx8 MM evk.

And I'm using imx8mm-evk-rm67191.dtb as the dtb.

Unfortunately I don't have any other boards or display now, but I can test it with other boards or display in a few days

In the meantime, could I get a picture of the back of the OLED? I want to confirm the DTB usage.
