Hello,
I wonder what's the difference between entering USB recovery mode and changing boot switches to USB boot?
If I want to use mfgtools can I just plug USB OTG into my computer and set switches to USB boot and I'm all set to flash to nand and so on?
But what happens when you apply HIGH LEVEL voltage on PSWITCH? Is this the same as changing boot switches to USB boot?
Yes,
according to section 11.4.3 (Software Functions/Recovery Mode) of the i.MX28 RM :
"When the PSWITCH pin is connected to VDDIO through a current limiting resistor, the
upper HW_POWER_STS_PSWITCH bit is also set. If this bit is set for more than five
seconds during ROM boot, the system executes the Freescale USB Firmware Recovery
function, as described in Boot Modes."
