Connecting EXTERNAL TCXO to iMX6

Hi

I am looking to monitor my external Clipped Sine Wave TCXO 40MHZ using iMX6DL (Signal "EPIT1_OUT").

I have attached my use case and also one content 31.2.1 from iMX6DL saying input clock should be 1/4 frequency of the Peripheral Clock.

Can i use Timer/Capture pin to monitor my TCXO external Clock?

"Peripheral Clock" or peripheral clock (ipg_clk) as described in Reference Manual

is IPG_CLK_ROOT value and provided in Table 18-4. System Clock Frequency Values i.MX6SDL

Reference Manual. Seems 40MHZ can not be used.
