About eMMC Device locked in i.MX6 system.

Hello. I have a question about internal boot ROM processing in i.MX6SDL.

Refer to the below device status register in eMMC card.

The "DEVICE_IS_LOCKED" bit had changed to "1" in eMMC card on my customer's board.

(eMMC Status : 1 = Device locked)

And, the board couldn't boot-up (No output to serial console).

[Question]

Does iROM in i.MX6SDL check this bit 25 and does stop access to eMMC?

Could you check the internal ROM code?

HI Keita

ROM does not check/change this bit. eMMC itself check it and

if locked, do not provide data to host. This is described in

sect.7.6.13 Card lock/unlock operation eMMC 4.41 specification

JESD84-A441.
