iBeacon + Connectable Peripheral with QN9080?

Hi,

I am wondering if I can use the QN9080 as an iBeacon as well as a peripheral to connect to from an iPhone. I am able to get the iBeacon working with the Beacon demo in the SDK -- but now I want to also connect to the QN9080 for data transfer. Is this possible with one chip? Or do I need two?

Thank you

Hi Michael, I hope you're doing well!

There's currently no implementation for a Beacon + Connectable peripheral on one device example available, but it could be a possible implementation. First a connection event should have to be triggered, then the device could keep sending non-connectable advertising packets.

For reference, could you please take a look at the BLE Application Developer's Guide, in the following path for the SDK?:

<…\SDK_2.2.2_QN908XCDK\docs\wireless\Bluetooth\Bluetooth Low Energy Application Developers Guide.pdf>

Please let me know if you need any more information.

Take care, best regards,

Sebastian
