Hi.
Is there a list of official manufacturers and their IDs for MIFARE smartcards?
For example, I'm aware, that ID 0x04 corresponds with NXP. And I would like to know if there are any other official manufacturers which could have different ID and their cards still be considered as official/original? Or is anything else dimmed to be fake?
Thx and best regards,
Vojko

Hello sir,
No, since MIFARE is an NXP product, in case you have read a MIFARE card with another UID, is possible that is a counterfeit or, there's an error with the reading.
The organization that sets the standard and guidelines for this is GS1.
Hello sir,
Unfortunately, we aren't aware of the existence of an official list.
I'm very sorry for the issues this may cause.
My recommendation is to look for the most prominent companies in the RFID industry and track each Identifier.
Hi.
So the manufacturer ID is not specified by NXP, but by a third party (some standardization subject - like ISO)?
But that would mean they have a list and you would probably know about it
Let me rephrase my question then. Is there a possibility that an original MIFARE DESFire smartcard would have any other manufacturer ID in its serial than NXP (0x04)?
Best regards,
Vojko
