< BLE test on ch2 >

二。Ch2.3.2.1 of AN12798, Frequency measurement also requires "continuous signal" ,

As shown in the table, what kind of continuous signal can I choose?

Mentioned by Estephania as follows, using the following CW options,

I feel very conflicted because ch2 is talking about "BLE Certi tool"

and ch3 is talking about "802.15.4 CMET".

In ch 2.3.2.1 BLE test, how could it be related to CMET(ch3) ?
How can BLE transmission be received by 802.15.4 CMET ?

Test in AN12798, ch 2.3.2.1, is to test the accuracy of the frequency of the carrier wave.

In my opinion, the carrier wave can be either modulated or not modulated. But from the picture of the tool, it only shows modulated signals [2], [3], [4], [5], [6]. So you have to use a modulated signal for the test.

As for me I think any of the [2-6] is fine for the test. But if you look at AN12798 Annex C, it seems to suggest using [5] or [6] for test 2.3.2.1.

It is not "BLE Certi tool", it is called "K32W Certi tool" in AN12798.

K32W is a product supporting 2 different RF technologies, BLE and 802.15.4. So there are 2 separate chapters explaining how to test BLE (ch2) and 802.15.4 (ch3) respectively.

No they are not related. How could ch2 related to ch3 if they are not even in the same chapter?

No BLE transmission cannot be received by 802.15.4 and vice versa, because they are different things.

Hello ,

I believe there is a confusion , could you please let me know what you are trying to do and why are you using this demo ? Are you performing some tests for the certification of the product? Are you trying to make a certification or radio tests for Bluetooth LE or 802.15.14?

Regards,

Estephania
