How to use Serial Flash Memory (USB dongle)?

Hi support team!
Now i'm working on JN-AN-1216 ControlBridge. 

I'm having a trouble with JN5169 memory. If i define a large struct =>> It make crash program. My understanding is that Zigate is under memory pressure

So I think need to save data to Flash Chips E_FL_CHIP_ST_M25P40_A for this situation. Can you help me confirm?
Can you give me some advice for that?

You will find the process for enabling the external flash.
