I am using a 2EL M.2 Module (IW612) with an i.MX93-based design as a WiFi 6 access point using hostapd. It appears that the IW612 firmware does not have TWT Responder support. I have enabled 802.11ax using the instructions here.
When I attempt to configure TWT from a client, it fails claiming that the AP is not HE capable. I have successfully configured TWT with the same client and other WiFi6 APs.
I am running a Yocto 4.2 (Mickledore) build with NXP's moal WLAN driver with the following configuration.
SDIW612 = {
cfg80211_wext=0xf
max_vir_bss=1
cal_data_cfg=none
ps_mode=1
auto_ds=1
host_mlme=1
fw_name=nxp/sduart_nw61x_v1.bin.se
}
Could you please help me understand why TWT is not working with this configuration?
Thank you,
Tim

Dear @tim_cargt
Unfortunately I had confirmation that TWT is only supported in STA mode, but not in AP mode.

Olivier

Dear @tim_cargt
Could you please confirm the software version you are using ?
1/ i.MX93 Linux BSP version (using "uname -a")
2/ IW612 software version (using "cat /proc/mwlan/adapter0/mlan0/info | grep version")
Regards,
Olivier
