Hi Eric,
About how to program firmware to MCF52234 chip, there are two options:
1. Using P&E PROG-HL-CFZ software with P&E Multilink Universal debugger
P&E provides standalone Flash programming software for ColdFire chip, which works with WIN 10 system.
More detailed info, please refer below link:
https://www.pemicro.com/products/product_viewDetails.cfm?product_id=15320181&productTab=1
2. Using CodeWarrior for MCU provided [Flash Programmer] tool with P&E Multilink Universal debugger tool:
Customer need to create a MCF52234 project, then call [Flash Programmer] provided [Flash File to Target] tool.
The File can select customer would like programmed image.
Wish it helps.

Hi Mike,

- P&E PROG-HL-CFZ software with P&E Multilink Universal debugger
In this time, I'm closing this ticket.
Thanks for your support.

Hi Eric,
Nice to hear that. You are welcome.

Hi Mike,
I checked the above 2 suggestions.
Customer didn't agree to use the suggestions for the project.
The reasons are like as below.
- Suggestion #1 / Use 32bit Windows, to use CW for CF V7.1
. It's not easy to find the 32bit Windows PC, and it's difficult to manage the 32bit Windows PC.
- Suggestion #2 / Port a Classic CodeWarrior Project into CodeWarrior for Microcontrollers v10.4, if Customer want to use their project on Windows10.
. The project is not a development project. They need to flash image into their product.
So I want to know the below information additionally.
- #1 / How to flash the Classic CodeWarrior Project binary in Windows10
. Customer want to flash the Classic CodeWarrior Project binary into their product in Windows10. That's ALL.
. Would you let me know how to flash the image in Windows10?
. I think that One of the method is to flash the image in "Eclipse-based CW for MCU"
: Please let me know how to do that, if it is possible.
- #2 / Small Size Cyclone Programmer
. Customer want to flash the Classic CodeWarrior Project binary into their product in Windows10. That's ALL.
. Currently Customer is using the PEmicro Cyclone (FX) programmer.
. Its size is too large. So it's hard to carry it around.
. Customer will be OK, if there is available small size PEmicro Cyclone programmer.
. Would you let me know the available small size "PEmicro Cyclone programmer"?
Best Regards,
Eric.

Hi Mike,
Thanks for your check.
I understood CW for CF V7.1/V7.2 couldn't be used in Windows10.
For the Windows10, Customer should use CodeWarrior for MCUs (Eclipse IDE).
Additionally I got the attached AP.
(attached) AN4727 - Porting a Classic CodeWarrior Project into CodeWarrior for Microcontrollers v10.4
I'll share this information to Customer.
And I'll suggest the below 2 items to Customer.
- Suggestion #1 / Use 32bit Windows, to use CW for CF V7.1
- Suggestion #2 / Port a Classic CodeWarrior Project into CodeWarrior for Microcontrollers v10.4, if Customer want to use their project on Windows10.

Hi @karina_valencia,
Would you assign this ticket to someone?
Best Regards,
Eric.
Hi Eric,
The CW for CF V7.1 is Classic CodeWarrior IDE with below Windows system supported:
WIN10 is not supported
Customer could try with CodeWarrior for MCUs (Eclipse IDE), which supports WIN 10. The latest version is V11.1
Another issue is that P&E USB-ML-CFE debugger is discontinued, replaced with P&E Multilink Debugger tool. The P&E USB-ML-CFE could not provide driver for WIN10 OS.
Wish it helps.
