Hello everyone,
I currently have a sensor MPX2202A for vaccum application. In the date sheet it's said that the range of mesure is 20 to 200 kPa. I noticed that the sensor MPX2202D is able to read a pressure between 0 to 200 kPa in differential pressure.
My question is that i would like to use one of the two to mesure 15 mbar (1500 Pa) ?
Thank you for your answer.

Hello,
I'm looking to install this within a vacuum chamber. I just wanted to know for sure if this device MPX2202A can measure the vacuum with the full device being in the vacuum or do I need to expose one side of it to atmospheric pressure?
Hello Bijan,
Yes, the minimum operating pressure of the MPX2202A (= absolute type) is 20 kPa and the operating pressure range of the MPX2202D (= differential type) is from 0 to 200 kPa.
The MPX2202A measures an external pressure relative to a pressure reference (vacuum) sealed inside the reference chamber of the die during manufacture. The MPX2202D measures the difference between pressures applied simultaneously to opposite sides of the diaphragm.
Best regards,
Tomas
