Hello Support team,

I have a question about S32K314 from the viewpoint of functional safety.

[Questions]
"VDD_HV_A / VDD_HV_B / V15 / VSS" have multiple pins, and these pins should be connected on their board.
Are they also connected inside the device?

[Background]
My customer is asking from a functional safety perspective.
Therefore, they are concerned about whether it can still operate even if one pin fails.
I understand that the performance will drop, but I want to check if it works as a function.

Best regards,
Hiroyuki Kadowaki

Hi Hiroyuki,

The multiple supply pins for a single supply are connected inside however we have not analyzed the behavior of the device when one supply pin fails - the device may or may not become reliable. In either case we expect the internal voltage monitoring or the external watchdog to detect a fault and indicate safe state to the external system.

Hope this helps !

Thanks!
