Hi, I am current try to use these two boards to build a BMS system, including monitoring output voltage and current, implementing algorisms to estimate the battery SOC and SOH, battery balance system and build a GUI.

I encounter some problems and I want to ask these questions:

1. Is there any difference between S32K144EVB-Q100 and S32K142EVB-Q100, I have checked the datasheet of both boards, and there is no difference between the features of these two boards. (Only the chip)
2. Can I download the SREC for the S32K142EVB-Q100 through MC33771C/772C Evaluation GUI
3. Is there any sample codes for the FRDM33771CSPEVB?

Well, based on the information I got, it looks like the GUI is written only for S32K144EVB, so S32K142 is not an option.

Lukas

I am currently using S32K142EVB-Q100, and it is connected to com3, but there are no S32K142 drive shows in the pop-up window. And when I click the PackCtrl, the GUI shows that the EVB is not connected.

Hi,
1. The features are the same, the signals are the same on pin headers but the design is slightly different. You can check the schematics of both boards, you will see some small differences there.

2. See "Initial Configuration" in c:\Program Files (x86)\NXP\MC3377xC EvalGUI\help.chm

3. Take a look at this page:

And could I use the Arduino Uno to control the FRDM33771CSPEVB? Is it an easier solution?

Well, you can use any microcontroller with 2 SPI modules. It's just about your requirements.

Let me ask around if the GUI accepts also S32K142. I'm not really sure. I will let you know later.
