Hello S32K3 Team,
I am currently working with the S32K312EVB-Q172 board. I've noticed that the power consumption is quite high when the board enters standby mode, and I'd like to inquire about potential solutions.
Here are the steps I have taken:
After following these steps, the power consumption measures between 16 to 18 mA (excluding LEDs).
I am requesting suggestions on how to reduce the power consumption in standby mode while still being able to detect wakeup through the wakeup pin.
Thank you for your assistance.

Locate all the devices in the schematic of the board and refer to the datasheets of the components.

Hi @NewbieNerd,
Where do you measure the current?
Can you measure just the VDD_HV_A current?
The consumption of S32K312 VDD_HV_A is specified in the DS, Table 15. STANDBY mode supply currents.
On the EVB, it can be measured either at J18 or J10 provided R303 is removed.
Let me know how the consumption differs from the specified one.
Thanks,
BR, Daniel
Hello @danielmartynek
Thank you for your reply.
I am measuring power consumption using pins 1 and 2 of J14.
The measured values represent not only the power consumption of VDD_HV_A but also the total power consumption of the board. I would like to reduce the overall power consumption of the board.
I would appreciate your valuable suggestions.
Best Regards.
Hello @NewbieNerd,
The current paths on the board are not specified.
You would need to remove LEDs and other components to reduce the consumption of the board.

Daniel
Hello @danielmartynek
Are there any components on the S32K3123VB-Q172 board, besides the CAN Transceiver, that can be switched to low-power modes such as Sleep or Standby through user control?
Best Regard
