Can we change the micro controller selection in existing S32K3 software project ?

We have a demo project configured for S32K358(using the AUTOSAR RTD drivers, which compiles using Design studio v3.5) and the controller we choose for production is S32k312. What would be the best way to port the software project from S32K358 to S32K312 ?

I am afraid that the most viable option is to generate a new project with the corresponding MCU and then copy the application source files from your pre-existing project as well as any customizations you made to the project properties.
