Hello @whinojo,

S32 Design Studio is developed for and tested to work on Windows and Linux. For Linux, the Ubuntu, Debian, and CentOS are options. To see which versions are supported, please check the release notes document. We cannot guarantee it will work on any OS not listed in the release notes. You are on your own for any issues encountered if you choose to install to anything which is not listed.

Best Regards,

Mike

Hi @whinojo,

I checked both log files - thank you for providing them.

It seems something happened to the license after installation and activation. Let's try to solve this by the following method:

Trusted Storage is corrupted and needs to be re-initialized.

Windows host:

-> Delete 'C:\ProgramData\FLEXNet'

This folder may be hidden by default, so then it would be necessary to change Windows Explorer settings to show hidden items.

After this, you should be able to re-activate the existing license on your PC

Best Regards,

Mike

Good afternoon Mike, I did the recommended deletion of the directory, re-started DS and I got the message in the attached image. The message seem to have the "Activate" button disable. Pressing close just closes the S32 DS application completely. Please advise.

Best regards.

William

Hello @whinojo,

Please check your S32 Design Studio installation. Specifically check the following file:

s32ds.ini

image.png

You need to check it for this line:

image.png

If this line is missing or set to the wrong path, then it will produce the error you reported.

If the FNP_Act_Installer.dll file is missing from the ...cll/i86 (or x64) folder, or any of these things are not right, it might make sense to install again. Though the installation log looks good, it's possible something did not install correctly and could be resolved via reinstall.

Please let me know your findings.

Best Regards,

Mike

Installing on wine, I found the same error `no FNP_Act_Installer in java.library.path`

when executing

`C:/NXP/S32DS_ARM_v2.2/eclipse/s32ds.exe`

However,

`C:/NXP/S32DS_ARM_v2.2/eclipse/eclipsec.exe`

launched without error.
