T2080 - SERDES

Hi,

Can SERDES 1 and 2 be configured independently. Or it should be configured as per combinations shown in below table?

As per RCW bits, its intimated that SRDS_PRTCL_S1 and SRDS_PRTCL_S2 be used in conjunction. But there were no details whether (Table 4-40 of T2080RM) combinations provided in Table 19-1 to be maintained. Please check and let me know.

As mentioned in the manual, SRDS_PRTCL_S1 and SRDS_PRTCL_S2 are used in conjunction. Table 19-1 provides enabled combinations of those fields. The combination includes SRDS_PRTCL_S1 and SRDS_PRTCL_S2 values at the same row of the table. In your example these can be either 0x1C and 0x1F or 0x95 and 0x1F.

As SERDES 1 and SERDES 2 are operated independently with REFCLK1 and REFCLK2. I am expecting that by using SRDS_PRTCL_S* registers they can configure independently.

Please let me know the requirement of using these combinations as per table 19-1.

I am not sure what you mean with "requirement of using". Can you clarify?
