Hi Experts,
We want to support IEEE802.3az (EEE: Energy Efficient Ethernet) on LS1023A(/43A).
From "6.2 mEMAC Features Summary" of LS1043ADPAARM(Rev.0), we understand that the LS1023A can support this.
However, we don't understand how to implement this feature with LS1023A.
Please advise which documents we should reference to.
Also, if any sample code, could you let us know?
Best Regards,
Hello,
ethtools with your suggested option allows us to enable eee, LPI.
> ethtool --set-eee devname [eee on|off] [tx-lpi on|off] [tx-timer N] [advertise N]
LPI must be supported by hardware block in MAC layer on LS1043A.
Otherwise, above option is meaning less.
Can we think that above option can enable eee (sending LPI, detecting LPI) on MAC layer of LS1043A?
Of course, we must use Ether PHY with 802.3az along with LS1043A.
Thanks,
