Dear Sir,
I develop a custom board with LS1043A CPU.
I would like to use the QSPI memory interface for booting device.
I have somes questions about QSPI memory interface of the LS1043A CPU.
1) What is the QSPI memory space limitation in MBytes for the LS1043A CPU ? In the "QorIQ LS1043A Reference Manual" on page 178 System memory map show 512 MB for QuadSPI. 512MB it is the limitation of the entire QSPI space memory ?
2) Stacked QSPI device (two 512Mb die) like the MT25QU01GBBB8E12-0AAT from Micron can work with the LS1043A QSPI Interface ? Because The CPU has two chip select signals, QSPI_A_CS0 (chip select for the first die) and QSPI_A_CS1 (chip select for the second die) and the QSPI MT25QU01GBBB8E12-0AAT memory has only one chip select signal.
3) If i use the QSPI MT25QU01GBBB8E12-0AAT connected with only one chip select signal (QSPI_A_CS0 signal), can i use the entire QSPI memory space 1Gb or also the first 512Mb die ?
Thank is you in advance for your reply.
Best regards.
1) Yes.
2) The LS1043A QSPI chip-selects could be used to select separate SPI devices.
In case of the MT25QU01GBBB8E12-0AAT one chip-select (0) has to be used.
3) Entire 1Gb can be used.
Dear sir,
Thank is you for your quick reply.
Best regards
