Can someone please let me know the Junction temperature of NTS0104?

It is not provided in the datasheet.

Thanks in advance!!

Hi,

Please confirm which version of the NTS0104 you are interested in, there are 7 different part numbers with 4 different packages associated with the NTS0104.

I need this information to search for the Junction Temperature data.

Thanks,

Jose

Hi,

Here is the NTS0104PW-Q100 information page (https://www.nxp.com/part/NTS0104PW-Q100#/), if you scroll down, you will find a table of the Operating Characteristics, in this table you can find:

Rth(j-a) (K/W) = 175  (Junction to ambient)

th(j-top) (K/W) = 40 (Junction to top)

Is this the information you are looking for?

Hi,

The info that you are indicating to is for thermal resistance. What I am looking for is Maximum Junction temperature just like it is clearly provided in the datasheet of NTS0304(attached pic).

Thanks

Thanks. That would be great.

Also, there is one more doubt, the maximum junction temperature of NTS0304 is mentioned 85 degree C in datasheet, whereas the maximum ambient temperature given is 125 degree C.

According to formula of Junction temp, it is equal to the summation of Ambient temperature and product of Thermal resistance & Power dissipation. Hence, Junction temp will always be greater than ambient temp.

My query is if we are using the IC at 100 degree ambient temp, then the junction temp will be greater than 100 degree C, hence crossing the maximum junction temperature but the ambient is within the limits. So, can we use this IC at 100 degree C?
