What's the use of ALERT_N in PTN5110.

I want to know what's the use of ALERT_N in PTN5110.

After reading the PTN5110 datasheet, I realized that ALERT_N is about interrupt output.

but, why ALERT_N is needed?

Yes, it is the interrupt pin from the device to the external processor.

Please refer to the AN12137 for more information about the ALERT_N interrupt pin as well as related ALERT and ALERT_EXTENDED registers.
