I'm new to the world of RFID. I have a project requiring use of the NXP ICODE SLIX tag. Currently I'm searching for a tool to read/write/lock the tags with an NDEF URL and UID. I downloaded NXP's TagWriter program, but it appears to only work with NTAG chips. I get an error when trying to write tags.

Where can I find a similar tool for SLIX chips? Or can someone please point me to a good reader/writer that I can progam?

Thank you!

Hello @mmansion

Yes, TagWriter can only work with NTAG chips, not for ICODE. For ICODE, you must use the RFID Discover tool (full version), but it is a security file, need to sign an NDA with NXP and then have permission to download.  Please establish an NDA with NXP by going to https://www.nxp.com/support/support:SUPPORTHOME and select "Request an NDA"

If you'll get an NDA, then please send e-mail to support.docstore@nxp.com and apply for SW186654 accessing permission and then you can see the file and download it on https://www.docstore.nxp.com/

Best Regards,

Kelly

Hi @KellyLi,

Thank you for your quick reply. I will request the NDA and look to use the RFID Discovery Tool.
