The datasheet for the TJA1051 CAN Transceiver does not explicitly state an allowable common mode voltage range for the CAN signals. Instead it states that the allowable voltage on CANH and CANL is -58V to +58V.
Can I assume the allowable common mode voltage range is 58V minus 1/2 the dominant voltage? Are there other factors I need to consider?
