Need help to determine the right controller for product

Hi all,

I want to design the wireless sensor network using Freescale's MC1322x controller.I collected the information from the site, found that Freescale provides some good support for this controller for 802.15.4 MAC but does not provide the source code for that.

I don't want to use Zigbee but directly want to build the application on MAC layer.The application requires to communicate with other nodes in the wireless network with start topology.

Is it possible to build such application using MC1322x?

You can use the BeeKit to use the 802.15.4 MAC. The MAC part will be object, not source code, but you'll have an API that your software can hook into.
