Hi,
I am testing the MC33883 in the typical application (as shown in figure 14) and noticed that when the output of the mosfet (source of high side mosfet/drain of low side mosfet) is not connected to a load the voltage sits at Vboost - 4 and can supply enough current to drive small loads even when the inputs are low.
Is this within the expected operation of the circuit or can I modify the circuit so that the output is floating when not connected?
