Connect ESP8266 with I2C relay board at longer range using I2C communication

Hi, I am looking for I2C extender circuit which will help me to connect I2C relay board with ESP8266 at longer range of around 30 m.

I am trying to create the secondary source which will help me to communicate the devices through I2C communication at longer range through wired connection, even if WIFi connection will not available.

Any suggestion to make this work will be a great help.

Hello William,

We can recommend the P82B715 I2C-bus extender. This bipolar IC is targeted to increase the total connected capacitance of an I2C-bus system from 400 pF to around 3000 pF or drive IC-bus signals over long cables to approx. 50 meters.

You will see the application note AN11084 “Very large I2C-bus systems and long buses” that can be very helpful.
