Hi

I have a question about startup process on the PN5180.
What will happen if I start the PN5180 in an environment where there are other reader/writers nearby that are outputting carrier output?

When I start up my PN5180 in the above environment, the PN5180 cannot receive commands from the host interface.
Is this the specification?

One possibility is that the PN5180 is operating in card mode.
Is there any way to check that the PN5180 is working in card mode other than checking the registers?

The PN5180 I have is as follows.
   Product: PN5180A0ET/C3QL
   Software version: 4.0

Best regards,
Hikaru

Hi Hikaru:

I would suggest you refer to below link for the interference and coupling issue

https://www.linkedin.com/advice/3/how-do-you-avoid-interference-coupling-issues-other-components

If you need to check whether your device is in card mode or not,  you can use NFC TagInfo App to read the device

Regards

Daniel
