Charging smartphones without the need to plug in a charging wire increases convenience and enables on-the-move charging in public spaces. First generation wireless chargers consist of over 100 components and are too expensive for mass market adoption. The NXQ1TXH5 is a one-chip Qi low power wireless charging transmitter integrating all the digital, analog and power functions for a Qi wireless charger. The high integration enables a very low component count and an easy to design wireless charger. This also reduces the cost of a wireless charger by as much as a factor 3. The NXQ1TXH5 is a real digital plug & play platform without the need for external analog design effort. A 2-layer PCB with signal & power routing at the top layer and a full copper bottom layer for thermal performance is all you need. Connect power supply and decoupling at the input and an LC circuit at the output to transmit the power to the receiver, and your wireless charger is ready to go! Watch Video Presentation

As connected edge devices gain momentum with consumers, the security approaches and assumptions of the past will fail and create new threats and vulnerabilities to consumer safety and privacy. Additionally, the cost for security in mobile phones, tablets, and PCs will present a challenge for applications such as occupant sensors and heart rate monitoring patches. Lastly, the teams of security experts in connected industries do not yet exist at suppliers who are connecting products to the network. Join this session to learn how industries are providing cost effective, highly secure, certified hardware that can hasten the learning cycle for emerging edge node applications, bring solutions for security, drive down costs, and limit the supplier specific required expertise.

The I2C bus has expanded from its humble beginnings in 1980s home electronics to both small and large scale systems in the modern world. Applications range from Smartphones to Server farms, and while they're true to the original simple signaling protocol other I2C bus components are needed to expand, adapt or buffer those signals. We take an in depth technical look at the simple Bus Buffer. Often needed, and seldom understood. Watch Video Presentation

From solving a simple problem - How did a 1980s TV 'talk' to your new Video Cassette Recorder (VCR)? - The Inter-Integrated Bus has solved many of today's low speed communication problems. Known affectionately as the I2C (pronounced eye-squared-see) bus, just two wires can connect a variety of electronic components that help us enjoy many products from Smartphones to Cloud Server farms. In industry the I2C bus is a simple and reliable link for sensors, indicators, human interface, and behind-the-scenes equipment set up and control. We talk about how it works, and what it can do for your next electronics project. Watch Video Presentation
