Hello,
I hope this message finds you well. My name is Swathi Kumar, and I am currently working on a research project at the University of Stuttgart. In our project, we have a demonstrator that involves a scenario where the LED inside a car should glow when the car door opens. To achieve this functionality, we are utilizing the MPC564xL control unit from NxP Semiconductors. We have successfully flashed this Electronic Control Unit (ECU) with C code by developing the model in MATLAB Simulink. To test the functionalities, we have connected the ECU to the Vector VT system and CANoe test software.
Now, my specific task is to test the Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) functionality. In this regard, I have a couple of questions:
1) I would like to know if the Motor Control Development Toolbox for MPC564xL is compatible with newer versions of MATLAB, specifically Version R2023a. I have installed the toolbox, but I am unable to find the associated libraries in the Simulink library browser. Could you please confirm if there is an issue with the installation or if the toolbox is not compatible with this version of MATLAB?
2) After testing my AEB software, I am interested in knowing if it is possible to reflash the old software back to the controller. Is there a procedure or tool available that would allow me to revert to the previous software version?
I would greatly appreciate any assistance or clarification you can provide regarding these questions. Thank you for your time and support.
Best regards,
Swathi Kumar
The ability to revert to a previous software version depends on the specific firmware update process and tools provided by the manufacturer of the control unit. Typically, electronic control units have mechanisms to allow firmware updates, including the ability to revert to a previous version. it's recommended to check the official documentation or contact MathWorks support for the most up-to-date information regarding the compatibility of the toolbox with newer versions of MATLAB.
