Hi Community,

Is there any MBDT example targeted for the S32K3 T-box specifically? All the examples included in the MBDT are targeted to other dev boards.

Thank you!

Hi @Miguel-Avina

Currently, the MBDT for S32K3 does not provide any example targeting the S32K3 T-Box hardware. However, please note that MBDT for S32K3 uses external configuration tools (EB Tresos and S32 Configuration Tools) for setting and initializing the on-board pins, clocks, and peripherals. The toolbox deliverers such default configuration projects, for each of the supported processors, allowing also the users to modify these configuration, providing access to an unlimited configuration mode.

Such an unlimited configuration mode can be useful in case of specific application particularities, or custom hardware designs. Hence, for running a model, or creating a model for S32K3 T-Box, the following steps could be performed:

1. Open the model you would like to test, or create a new model, and select the S32K344-Q172 processor from the Model Settings (found in the MODELING tab of your Simulink model), under the Hardware Part option:

This will associate to the model the default configuration project we deliver for S32K344-Q172.

2. This configuration can be customized according to your hardware particularities, saved under a different name, and reused across multiple models developed using MBDT for S32K3. Chapter 3.7 (Support for custom default project) inside the Model_Based_Design_Toolbox_S32K3xx_Series_Release_Notes document provides more details on how this can be achieved.

Please let us know if any further guidance is needed on this process and if it helps with your use case.

Thanks,
Irina
