What is the transistor count for the MPC5604B?

I need an estimate for failure rate calculations (as per IEC TR 62380).  I can't find this information in the datasheet.  Anyone?  (an estimate such as "between 100,000 and 200,000" should suffice, but if you happen to have the precise number, the info will be welcome).

Thanks,

Carlos

Hi Carlos,

I can't share exact number but for estimation:

MPC5604B is built on 90nm technology.

Thanks Lukas,

Is the above figure specific to Freescale, or maybe specific to microcontrollers of its class?

I ask because from Wikipedia's page on "Transistor Count", in the list they show, all of the 90nm entries have counts between 100k and 250k  (the Cell processor being the highest, at close to 250k).

I was using for now a conservative estimate of 250k transistors for the MPC, but if the above is more specific and closer to the class of devices where the MPCs are, then maybe I'll use something like 100k as the estimate (still conservative, if I go with the above figure) for my calculations?

Thanks again!

Carlos

Hi Carlos,

the figure is about right. In case of MPC56xx devices, the number of transistors are tens of millions.

Lukas
