Timer configuration in MPC5744P

I want measure the execution time of a one function. For that I configure timer for 1ms at that time I get 1ms. I need more accuracy for that I configure timer for 1us at that time I am getting 447us. why I am getting like that.  wither my us configuration is wrong.

What is your clock of PIT,  40MHz?

Could you share with me stetting of PIT?

When you perform simple pin toggle in ISR on every PIT expire, do you see the delay?
