I'm trying to program a new batch of boards using the P&E PROGPPCNEXUS software and am having some troubles.

The first thing I noticed is that the P&E software says" "MPC574xC Device detected", but the chip I'm using is a 5748G.  Is the C/G discrepancy expected?  Should I be worried?

Thanks.

Hello,

No. there is nothing to worry. The PE most probably distinguish only between memory versions for programming purposes.

And that is the 6M version SPC5748 and 3M version SPC5746.

But you can always ask PE what exactly is the issue when it say C when you have G version. Most probably it is only script message issue on PE side.

Best regards,

Peter
