I'm trying to develop it using RDVCU5775EVM based on mpc5775B.

going to use this board to do torque vectoring.

I am referring to the following guide :

https://www.nxp.com/webapp/sps/download/preDownload.jsp?render=true

If you look at the user guide provided by nxp, there are two debugger items.

-> P&E multilink , TRACE32 JTAG debugger

P&E multilink is available, but TRACE32 JTAG Debugger is not available.

So I posted a question because I was wondering if TRACE32 JTAG Debugger is a must.

If you don't need a TRACE32 debugger, I'd like to know the solution as well.

Could we get help?

Thanks

Hi @baenux

you need only one of those JTAG tools.

Pemicro Multilink probe and S32DS debugger are rather entry-level tools, Trace32 is advanced debugger which is much more expensive.

Pemicro Multilink probe can be bought from NXP:

https://www.nxp.com/design/software/development-software/s32-design-studio-ide/universal-multilink-f...

or directly from Pemicro:

https://www.pemicro.com/products/product_viewDetails.cfm?product_id=15320180&productTab=1

For Trace32 and tools you can ask for quote at www.lauterbach.com

Then it is possible to install plugin to S32DS:

https://community.nxp.com/t5/S32-Design-Studio-Knowledge-Base/HOWTO-Install-Lauterbach-TRACE32-debug...

Lukas
