We are using SJA1105R as a 5 port gigabit ethernet switch. All 4 RGMII port(0-3) works fine. Port 4 in this switch is hardwired to do SGMII in switch. In our application port 4 is connected to link partner(other processor) which can only do 1000BASE-X. Application note "AH1704" suggest that "1000Base-X Clause 37 Auto-Negotiation" is not supported.
User manual for SJA1105R also suggest that "1000Base-X Clause 37 Auto-Negotiation" is not supported. We have tried different things to make this interface work.
We have some basic question as follows
1. Can SGMII port of SJA1105R be able to do 1000BASE-X ?
2. If yes do you have ant pointers/app notes/docs to make it works?
