In the file system_MIMXRT1064.h DEFAULT_SYSTEM_CLOCK is 528000000

#define DEFAULT_SYSTEM_CLOCK 528000000UL /* Default System clock value */

Shouldn't the DEFAULT_SYSTEM_CLOCK be 600000000 for the MIMXRT1064 eval board?

The macro that defines the core clock frequency is BOARD_BOOTCLOCKRUN_CORE_CLOCK, you can find this on the file clock_config.h.
