Hi NXP Team,
Please confirm that MK20DX128VFM5(CMSIS DAP) must require for programming and debugging of LS1012A?
I am planning to program and debug it through direct 10-pin JTAG Header so is it OK?
Can you please explain the use case of CMSIS_DAP(MK20DX128VFM5) Interface?
This CMSIS-DAP is used in all reference designs of LS1012A, so please clear this doubt and share interface diagram.
Hi ufedor,
Can we use CMSIS DAP to program a completely fresh FRDM-ls1012a??
Note: Completely fresh means, empty flash with out any binaly(u-boot, RCW, kernel image).
Since we are designing an custom board referring FRDM-LS1012A, We will be needed to program a completely empty flash. So I wants to know the possible interfaces/procedure to program fresh flash.
If it is not possible using with CMSIS DAP, What could be the other option do we have??
Thanks,
Shyam

The MK20DX128VFM5(CMSIS DAP) is optional.

This is OK.

The MK20DX128VFM5(CMSIS DAP) is a low-cost debug option.
When CodeWarrior TAP is not used the CodeWarrior could use CMSIS DAP to establish debug connection. Drawback of the CMSIS DAP approach is its significant slowness in comparison to the CodeWarrior TAP.
Hi,
Can you please explain the difference between CodeWarrior TAP and CMSIS DAP.
Also, How CodeWarrior TAP is more useful to debug more faster for processor?
Can I use FTDI chip to debug LS1012A processor?

These are different access ports.

The CodeWarrior TAP has significantly more complicated hardware.

No support from NXP is provided.
