Back in March 2017, we launched MCUXpresso IDE v10.0.0, which for many users acts as a replacement for the older LPCXpresso IDE (as well as Kinetis Design Studio). In fact MCUXpresso IDE will look very familar to LPCXpresso IDE users, as it has inherited much of the underlying technology from LPCXpresso IDE. This means, for instance, that in most cases existing projects can be just imported, then built and debugged as before
We have now released the 3rd version of MCUXpresso IDE - v10.1.0 and would strongly encourage users that are still using LPCXpresso IDE to consider evaluating the newer toolchain and moving to it for new projects. As you can have both LPCXpresso IDE and MCUXpresso IDE installed at the same time - you can continue development work with LPCXpresso IDE whilst evaluating MCUXpresso IDE in parallel.
